About Our Pre-Owned Products

We offer a wide collection of pre-owned and retro video game products for classic game fans and collectors.

Pre-owned products at Gamebaz.com are mainly sourced by our Japan office. Since pre-owned products trading is controlled by regulations in Japan, you can expect high quality service from Gamebaz.com.

Below is a general guideline for your information. If you want to confirm the condition of a specific pre-owned product, please feel free to contact us.

• Working Condition

  All our pre-owned products are tested. (Note: for some old cartridges with built-in battery, e.g. some Famicom carts, the game saving function may not work as the battery is flat)

• Our Service

  Before shipping a pre-owned product, we will check its completeness and condition. If we find anything that may draw your concern, such as incompleteness not mentioned in the product page (e.g. missing user manual or container box), we will contact you before we proceed with your order.

• Completeness

  For contemporary consoles, such as Playstation, Xbox, Wii, Gamecube, PSP, Nintendo DS etc. you can assume the package is complete*. For old consoles, such as NES, SNES, Mega Drive, Gameboy etc., the condition depends, it may be with cartridge only and without a package.

  If the ordered pre-owned product has incomplete package, unless the incompleteness is already stated in the product page, we will always seek your consent before we proceed with your order. You can choose to (1) proceed with shipment, or (2) cancel the incomplete item and get a refund.

  *Please note that as a standard practice in Japan, certain items are NOT regarded as affecting the "completeness" of a pre-owned product. Specifically, we do not guarantee the inclusion of the following items:

  • Product registration card
  • Downloadable content card / code
  • Promotion inserts / leaflets
  • Spine card

• You Have the Right to Choose... in an Efficient Way!

  As our valuable customers, you always have the right to choose whether to accept an "incomplete"** pre-owned product, and our system is designed for the same.

  When there is pre-owned item(s) in your shopping cart, you will be asked to choose how should we handle your order if the pre-owned item happens to be "incomplete". You can choose to "decide later", "cancel any incomplete item", or "accept item at a discount" if such situation occurs. We will act accordingly based on your preference if this happens.
  
  **For the above purpose, "incomplete" means:

  • Missing container box and / or user manual
  • Substantial sunburn, color wear outs on package or printings
  • Substantial deform or torn off of paper box package
  • Substantial scratch on product or package

• Appearance

  We endeavor to ensure near-mint condition for our pre-owned products. However, because of pre-owned products nature, there might be minor disc scratch, slight wearout / sunburn on label, manual, container etc., which won't affect its functions. Please note that appearance is outside of our guarantee scope because they are subjective on judgment.

• If item is arrived and I am not happy with the cosmetic condition, am I able to return the item?

  We are sorry that our products are excluded from any return, exchange or refund unless the product is wrongly delivered.

  If you are very sensitive to a product's cosmetic appearance, please DO NOT place an order to avoid any dissatisfaction. It is because a product's "cosmetic condition" is a subjective matter to measure, and we do not want to disappoint our customers.

  Our products are only good for usage purpose, but may not be good for collection purpose.

• Shipping Priority

  If we have multiple quantity of the pre-owned item in stock, we will send the best conditioned first.  So, the earlier you place the order, the better condition you will get.

• Some pre-owned copies are more expensive than new copies. Why?

  The game industry is a very dynamic market. Sometimes new copies have big price cut because the manufacturer drop their prices. On the other hand, the price of our pre-owned copies are solely based on our own inventory, and somewhat it is not affected by fluctuation of brand new copy price.

  If you find an item that new copies is sold cheaper than pre-owned ones, please get the brand new copy directly.

• Pre-owned Product Condition - What is Included?

  Below is a general description of what is included for a pre-owned game for a specific platform. It is for general reference only, the actual condition can be different. If you have a specific game that you want to confirm the condition beforehand, please always feel free to contact us before placing the order.
